Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 8, 2026

1. Introduction

Asterove Corp, a company incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or the "Company"), values your privacy. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this "Policy") explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use Alice (hereinafter referred to as the "Product").

The Product is an artificial intelligence-based personal agent consisting of a desktop application (the "Desktop App"), a web application at alice.fans (the "Web App"), and the Alice account service at account.alice.fans. Alice holds conversations with you, remembers what matters to you, and, in the Desktop App, can operate files and applications on your computer at your request.

Please read this Policy carefully before using the Product. By using the Product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Product.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Registration Information: your email address or mobile phone number, password (stored only as a one-way hash), date of birth, nickname, and avatar. If you sign in with a Miyang or Watcha account, we receive that account's identifier, nickname, and avatar.

Payment Information: when you top up, payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are collected and handled by Stripe directly; we receive only the order number, amount, currency, and payment status.

User Support Information: information you provide when contacting our support team.

2.2 Information Collected During Product Use

Conversation and Content Data: your messages to Alice and her replies, together with memories, notes, schedules, to-dos, moments, and files you send to her. This content is stored with your account on our servers so that it syncs between the Desktop App and the Web App and can be restored on a new device. The Desktop App also keeps a local copy on your device. The scope of content uploaded to our servers and where it is stored are set out in Section 2.5.

Memory Data: Alice uses a language model to extract facts and preferences from your conversations and stores them with your account so that later replies fit you better. You can ask Alice to show, change, or forget any memory.

Voice Data: when you use voice input or voice calls, your audio is transmitted to our servers and our speech service providers for speech recognition, speech synthesis, and real-time conversation.

Camera and Screen Data (Desktop App only, and only when you turn it on): during a voice call you may choose to share your camera or your screen with Alice. Images are captured only while sharing is on and are used only to let Alice see what you are showing her.

Device Operation Data (Desktop App only): when Alice carries out your requests on your computer, she may read, create, modify, or delete files and run commands. Operations that may have significant or irreversible effects require your confirmation before they are executed.

Third-Party AI Model Processing Data: the Product's artificial intelligence features rely on large language model services provided by third parties, including but not limited to Qwen (Alibaba Cloud), Kimi (Moonshot AI), GLM (Zhipu AI), MiniMax, and OpenAI series models. When you use the Product's default models, your relevant data (including your messages, transcribed speech, necessary conversation context and memories, and file content you share) is transmitted to these providers for processing and response. If you configure your own model provider and API key in the Desktop App, requests go from your device directly to that provider, and your API key stays on your device.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: device type and name, operating system version, CPU architecture, device identifier, client version, language settings, and time zone.

Usage Data: sign-in times, IP address, feature usage, number of model calls, and token usage. Usage data does not include the content of your conversations.

2.4 Error Log Data

When the Product encounters errors, the system may generate and upload error logs, which may contain error codes, crash reports, technical stack traces, and device state at the time of the error. We collect error logs solely to diagnose and fix problems, and we remove conversation content and other personal information from them to the extent possible.

2.5 Content Synced to and Stored in the Cloud

2.5.1 Scope of Uploaded Content. When you use cloud sync, notes, cloud backup, or workspace sync, or when you use the Web App, the following content is uploaded to our servers and stored in association with your account:

The above content may include personal information or sensitive personal information. Please decide carefully what you enter. If it contains personal information of third parties, you must ensure that you have obtained their lawful authorization.

2.5.2 Storage Location. The above content is stored on servers and object storage located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, provided by Alibaba Cloud. Images may be delivered through the content delivery networks described in Section 5. Cross-border transfers are governed by Section 6. The Desktop App also keeps a local copy on your device.

2.5.3 Purposes of Processing. We process the above content solely to provide multi-device sync, restoration on new devices, web reading and editing, search, version history, and backup restoration. When you ask Alice to read or refer to such content, the relevant content is transmitted as part of the request to third-party model providers in accordance with Section 2.2.

2.5.4 Your Controls. Workspace sync can be turned on or off in Settings. By default, workspace sync does not upload dependency directories, version control directories, credential directories, or secret files such as environment files and private keys, and you may add exclusion rules with a .aliceignore file. You may delete notes and cloud backups under "Drive" in the account center. If you turn off a sync feature, content already uploaded is retained until you delete it or close your account.

2.5.5 Sharing. If you create a share link for a note, a snapshot of the note as of the time of creation becomes visible to anyone who holds the link and may be subject to automated content moderation. You may revoke a share link at any time.

2.5.6 No Model Training. We do not use the above content to train artificial intelligence models.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your conversations, memories, or other user content to train AI models.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Product and its websites use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and protect the service. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent you from signing in to the Web App.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

(a) Contractual Necessity: we need to process your account, content, and voice data to provide the Product and perform our Terms of Service with you.

(b) Consent: for certain processing, such as camera and screen sharing, we process your data only after you turn the feature on. You may withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

(c) Legitimate Interests: we may process your information to protect the security of the Product, prevent fraud, and improve the Product, provided these interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

(d) Legal Obligations: we may need to process your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

(a) AI Model and Speech Service Providers: as described in Section 2.2, your requests and related data are transmitted to third-party model and speech providers for processing.

(b) Infrastructure Providers: our servers and object storage are provided by Alibaba Cloud in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and downloads and static files are delivered through content delivery networks operated by Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud.

(c) Payment and Messaging Providers: Stripe processes payments and refunds; email and SMS providers deliver verification codes and notices.

(e) Legal Requirements: we may disclose your information when required by applicable laws, regulations, or governmental authorities.

(f) Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you in such circumstances.

6. International Data Transfers

We are a company incorporated in the United States, and our servers are located in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Your personal information will be transferred to and stored in the Republic of Korea. In addition, because the Product uses services from multiple third-party model providers, your data may be transferred to servers of these providers located in mainland China, Singapore, the United States, or other countries and regions for processing. The data protection laws of these places may differ from those of your country or region of residence.

When transferring data across borders, we take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information receives a level of protection consistent with this Policy, such as contractual safeguards with recipients or, where required, your explicit consent.

7. Users of the Former Mainland China Service

Before October 8, 2026, Alice was provided in mainland China by Miyang Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and its data was stored in mainland China. From that date, the Product is provided by us. To keep the service running without interruption, existing account data was copied to our servers in Seoul when the service switched over.

When you first sign in after the switch, you will be asked to choose. If you agree, we continue to process your existing data under this Policy, and your remaining balance is transferred to your account. If you do not agree, you may first export your data to your device (moments excluded); we will then delete all of your Alice data on our servers and sign you out. Your Miyang account is not affected.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

(a) Account Information and Content Data: retained while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days.

(b) Content You Delete: removed from our servers when you delete it, subject to backup cycles.

(d) Error Logs: deleted after the relevant technical issue has been diagnosed and resolved.

(e) Usage Data: retained in anonymized or aggregated form for product analysis and improvement.

9. Data Security

We adopt industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including:

While we make commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, no security measure is absolutely perfect. In the event of a data security incident, we will notify you and relevant regulatory authorities in a timely manner in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will respond within the time limits prescribed by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

11. Age Requirement

The Product is intended only for users aged eighteen (18) or older. We check your date of birth before you send your first message, and users under 18 cannot use the Product. If we discover that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it as soon as possible. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated Policy will be published on this page with an updated date, and we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in the Product or by email.
